Breaking a Sweat

Sometimes I can't make a class and I just don't feel like a mindless run on the treadmill.  Here are a few I've been really into lately and I'm usually drenched in sweat when I'm done!



Quick Cardio Circuit:

  • 50 jumping jacks
  • 30 sec. jump rope
  • 20 alternating lunges
  • 30 sec. jump rope
  • 20 squats with 15 lb. dumbbell
  • 30 sec. jump rope
  • 60 sec. high knees
  • 30 sec. jump rope
  • 10 burpees (I hate these!)
  • 30 sec. jump rope
  • 60 jumping jacks
  • 30 sec. jump rope
  • 20 sec. mountain climbers
  • 30 sec. jump rope
  • 25 push ups (girly style)
  • 30 sec. jump rope
  • 60 sec. plank
  • 50 jumping jacks
I go through this circuit after a nice cardio warm-up on a treadmill/elliptical.  It's a doozy so I make it through at least 2 times and maybe a third if I'm feeling feisty!
